Rose World

Tusks (an ogre tale)

A fable about grief.
Bears didn’t always sleep through the winter.
One long winter night, close to the solstice, a young mother bear woke up from the trembling ground. She raced to wake up her children, but before she could reach them, the walls tumbled down around them. The floor dropped out from under her, and she fell out of the cave, into the new moon sky.
