I'm only gonna say this once.

If you think your "right" to not wear a mask is more important than other Americans' right to live, you lose the right to call yourself a patriot.

so suddenly the #LeonCounty available ICU beds dropped to 7% which I think is near the low of 5% it hit way back in June(?). But I'm sure everything is fine. #FloridaCovid

Last night a restaurant refused to sell a take-out dinner while they sold it the night before. The reason is they were really busy with indoor customers. This is Florida.

Haven't checked the #floridacovid numbers in days since the numbers of hospitalized patients were going nicely down. But last 24 hrs concerned me. Again a bump in covid ER cases & several new patients placed on life support in just 24 hrs. #notagain #tired

Did the pandemic agree that this is the end?

This is exactly why vicious cycle will continue 👇🏻

Covid for FL is not to end. Big gatherings are to come. With monthly fall holidays and anti-science FL leadership we will continue with the vicious circle for the next several months.

Surprised to see this social media excitement about Florida #COVID19 cases being at 7k in 24 hrs. Florida closed all drive thru testing sites as of evening Thursday until sometime next week due to storm. No testing >> no diagnosed cases.

Very important: for multigenerational households in need to quarantine there is a help line in Miami-Dade county.
The number to call is (305) 468-5800 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily.

Copied from friends FB page who is a physician at a local Miami hospital.

While we have shortages of icu beds, ppe, vents, staff, meds, plasma, we absolutely have no shortage of heartbreaking #covid19 stories

Stay safe everyone!

Florida had 25 deaths/24 hrs for June 17th.
Today 1 month later this number is 156 which is 6 times higher.
How high should this number be for the governor to admit that the disease is getting out of control?

A record 15300 cases/24 hrs in Florida. No other state had such number in 24hrs. In NY i think the highest was 12.5K/24 hrs.
Gotta remember the damn curve. We are pretty much at capacity, cases keep going up, we are entering death zone.

These tweets are a total failure to recognize that once we (hospitals) run out of space and man power, mortality will increase exponentially.

And unlike NY or Italy, we are not implementing any measures to avoid disaster.

About 10% of staffed ICU beds are left in two South Florida counties which is 155 beds for a population of 4.7 mln inhabitants.

Overflow units are being created but staffing is an issue.

And we are out of remdezivir, short of plasma
