Did I say you used the wrong word?

I believe I said that I used to think it was wrong but learned that there are two options when it comes to #fetid (US regular English) and #foetid (most often read in novels, but means the exact same thing).

I try to inform, as kindly as I can. 🖖

I learned it as #foetid

but Merrium-Webster says they are the same thing.

I am always going to spell "foetid" like that. I just am.
