Rollercoaster temps have us feeling the chill again after cold rain yesterday and warm the day before and back to the 80s in a few days. Whiplash! But the perennials like this lovely Tiarella march on towards blooms.

Velvety pale green leaves with just a hint of oak-like points as they begin to unfurl.

Here come the hydrangeas! We grow quercifolias, paniculatas, serratas, & aborescens—all of which are rock solid here. Haven’t really messed with macrophyllas, maybe because of their ubiquity, maybe because they seem needy under our growing conditions. 🤷‍♀️
