At #EENA2025, Dr Hamza and Waad al-Kateab received the 112 Award for Unbreakable Spirit — honouring their extraordinary courage in Aleppo and ongoing advocacy through For Sama and Action for Sama. A powerful reminder of true resilience. 💙 #112Awards #ForSama
Just finished watching #ForSama on @channel4tv.bsky.social catch up. What an amazing documentary, well shot and with recent events in Syria a definite must watch although a very tough one.
Btw if anyone has free time check out the movie #forsama it’s heartbreaking but needs to be seen.
Just watched #forsama for the first time and never have I been more heartbroken by a documentary. So ashamed these things happen in this century. Seeing two young brothers cry at the side of their other brother that just died in Aleppo is more than I can handle @forsamafilm
I’m deeply touched by #ForSama . #Respect for these idealist doctor & journalist-parents, fighting for their people. Outraged by the fact that the world let this happen. The red line crossing of @BarackObama or #Putin allowing kids to be killed...what a shame. More #Waad needed!!
Several stellar films to cheer for this rainy Oscar Sunday, but two that will stick with me long after the telecast are the documentaries #TheCave and #ForSama. For all the horrors each of them depicts, the women at the center of each film give me faith in humanity.
@waadalkateab documentary should be watched by everyone. @forsamafilm is possibly the most upsetting documentary I have ever watched but her bravery has made the horror in Syria real, showing us the real cost of war &why we must campaign for this war to end. @jonsnowC4 #ForSama
Finally watched #ForSama, such a powerful story of what a mother does for her city, community, cause, husband and child in Aleppo www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/film/for-... The world...
It looks like I need to watch #ForSama even though it's going to be distressing. That's probably true for you as well.
