#amazon have just emailed me to say they are turning my perfectly functional #kindle into a brick next month. This isn't the most aggressive example of #forcedobsolescence - and at least they gave me notice - but it's still Very Not Cool for users or the planet. #badtech #enshittification

This is one reason why I don't use iPhones. Successive updates and upgrades on existing hardware is a tactic to force people to buy a new phone. The newest software slows down the old hardware. #iOS #Forcedobsolescence
