Photo of a fossil with shell imprints, with a pen for scale
A fossil with imprints of a shell and what looks like it could be a worm. In fact, there are two “worm-like” structures — one that is smaller and appears to have preserved the entire outer layer.
Hey #FossilSky (is that a thing?)! These fossils are all over the shore at my family farm in NB Canada, along the Wolastoq (Saint John) river. I’d love to know if there’s a way to date them and/or identify species. Can someone help?? 🧪

Close up of two grey fossilised vertebrae against a light wooden background. They are roughly oreo shaped but a little thicker. They have a mottled grey outer ring and a lighter grey interior with holes, possibly where the spinal cord would have run.
Cold, wet and 'orrible outside, so we're indoors sorting fossils
These wee ichthyosaur vertebrae are from Charmouth in southwest England. Incredible that you can just find lumps of dinosaur on the beach!
