TONS OF SOBS, the debut album of British hard rock pioneers #Freeband, was a very rudimentary affair, authentic and rootsy, but artistically just a "warm up lap" for what was to follow from the band, like the album FIRE AND WATER.
WALK IN MY SHADOW is one of the best off it.

#DavidCoverdale, the founder of #Whitesnake, found time in 1978 to release a solo album which sounded nothing like the Whitesnake of the mid to late 80s. It didn't even sound nothing like his old band #DeepPurple.

#PaulKossoff was a great guitarist but also a troubled soul with a big substance abuse problem,which led to #Freeband' s break-up.
#BackStreetCrawler was Kossoff's "post Free comeback", the band released two albums before his death in 1976.

#PaulRodgers was a great rock vocalist. He first proved that in #Freeband and in #BadCompany.
But with "supergroups", Rodgers was involved in a few duds.
#TheFirm, even with #LedZeppelin guitarist #JimmyPage in its ranks, just didn't gel.
But this song is pretty good.

It has to go down as being one of the "biggest flops" in rock music history.

THE LAW only had ONE album in 1991 & ONE hit. This is the hit.

#Freeband is one of my very favourite bands. The "two Paul's" in the band, #PaulRodgers, a great hard rock singer who delivered his vocals as impassioned as any soul singer, and guitarist #PaulKossoff, a troubled genius, made FREE something special. They were even better live.
