The big break through came from @robin6.bsky.social with the revelation of the clubs name; Victoria Park Cricket Club and a name of what seems to be the founder Frank Pollard.

I'd been looking at Scarbrough, Agincourt, L'Amoreaux & variations without luck, Vic Park was the answer.

Eventually Cricket returned with a pitch under the Finch Hydro corridor in 1989.

But from everything I've been able to find, I can't tell if there is a direct relation between the two pitches. Cricket pitches weren't common (still arent) in the 1960s so it stands out.

By 1980 the park was redeveloped and the cricket pitch was gone. No cricket pitch existed in the area for another decade.

The cricket pitch existed thru the 70s and was last in aerial photos in 1978 before it was gone. Notices this is all before McNicholl Ave existed.

A #FridayMystery.

While looking at historical photos of #HighlandCreek. I spotted a cricket pitch that no longer exists in L'Amoreaux Park.

1st appearing in 1969 while the area was partially farm land. All searches either lead to current or 1880s results, not 1970s

The dog is all howl-y and bark-y at me, and there is no reason why. #fridaymystery
