Son objetif : Rejoind Rafah et permetire aux convois humanitaires bloqués aux frontières d'atteindre enfin Gaza. La flottille comptait initialement 52 bateaux ; apres des attaques de drones a Tunis, 44 ont pu poursuivre leur route. Interceptée dans les eaux internationales pour 42 d'entre eux — et dans les eaux territoriales palestiniennes pour les deux derniers, le Mikonos et le Marinette —, la GSF a marqué un tournant : jamais des bateaux humanitaires n’étaient parvenus aussi près des côtes gazaouis

Cette alliance repose sur un engagement citoyen : des marins, médecins, journalistes, artistes et bénevoles, réuni-es par la conviction que la solidarite. ne doit pas connaitre de frontieres. Notre devise, « Mille Madleens pour Gaza » est un hommage a la résilience, a l’espoir et au pouvoir de la présence.

Huit bateaux de Thousand Madleens ont quitté le port de Catane, le 27 septembre avec a leur bord soixante personnes, tandis que le ferry Conscience de la Freedom Flotilla a appareillé trois jours plus tard, le 30 septembre, embarquant 92 personnes de 22 nationalités différentes — parmi elles, des médecins, des journalistes, ainsi que des participant-es de Thousand Madleens. Ensemble, ces embarcations incarnent une forme de diplomatie des peuples, un appel lancé depuis la mer a la communauté internationale.
