My morning coffee, a latte in a hand-thrown cup. On a field of mostly smooth light brown, with just a few variations of shade around the edges, rises a bright white shape. It starts wispy and thin at the near edge, and thickens as it rises, undulating slightly until the center of the cup, where it breaks into short bulbous protuberances on the left, right, and back, and continues rising in a thicker central stalk that the bends to the right, forming a circular top with an irregular hammerhead shape pointing to the right. Out of the top of the hammerhead rises a nimbus that echoes the shape of the top of the stalk.
