Plenty gamify progress, few interrogate its costs. Terra Nil makes restoration the puzzle. Frostpunk forces you to weigh survival against soot. Against the Storm has you balancing growth with nature’s patience. Most games teach mastery; the rare ones ask what mastery destroys.
