A turntable spins Ty Segall’s 2025 release, Possession. The cover leans in the back, a clogged landscape full of branches and leaves, a dense forest that chokes out most of the light. Resting in a pool of sunlight that has pierced the dense vegetation is a hollowed, rusted-out husk of an automobile on its side. Vehicle profile appears to be from the 40’s or 50’s, but hard to say… typical of the ambiguity and blurred or obscured images we see on most of Ty’s album covers.
