Dissecting regulatory syntax in human development with scalable multiomics and deep learning Transcription factors (TFs) establish cell identity during development by binding regulatory DNA in a sequence-specific manner, often promoting local chromatin accessibility, and regulating gene expre...

Delighted to share our latest work deciphering the landscape of chromatin accessibility and modeling the DNA sequence syntax rules underlying gene regulation during human fetal development! www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1... Read on for more: 🧡 1/16 #GeneReg 🧬πŸ–₯️

CpxR regulates yccA and ldtC as an activator and efeU as a repressor despite binding in a similar relative position on these promoters.

CpxR regulates yccA and ldtC as an activator and efeU as a repressor despite binding in a similar relative position on these promoters.

How does a TFs function depend on the promoter it regulates? We know that a TF can have different effects on different promoters. For example, consider this case: CpxR regulates ldtCp, yccAp, efeUp at a similar location. Yet two of them are activated, one repressed #GeneReg πŸ§ͺ tinyurl.com/3hr9njnd

(Bicentenary) Integration of multi-modal datasets to understand the adipose tissue response to obesity at The University of Manchester on FindAPhD.com PhD Project - (Bicentenary) Integration of multi-modal datasets to understand the adipose tissue response to obesity at The University of Manchester, listed on FindAPhD.com

Our project: advanced data science x discovery research

What can we learn about adipose tissue behaviour in obesity from the ever-increasing number of 'omics datasets? (πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ and πŸ€) What hypotheses can we then test in vivo?

Details here: tinyurl.com/353a8n9r
Closes: 10th Jan

I'll be heading for the first time to #PAG31 in a few days. Want to talk #lncRNAs, #genereg, #evolution? Hit me up!

Also, any PAG tips/hacks I should know about?

See you in San Diego!
