After refreshing myself on #cupfungi, I made a journey back out to these scalloped #Geopyxis vulcanalis to check the smell. When crushed, they smell strongly of sulfur, hence the common name Fairy Farts. They do infact smell like Fairy Farts.

Fingers for scale to show how tiny these mushrooms are, no bigger than a Lentil
Some tiny little #cupfungi hanging out in the moss today. I suspect these to be a #Geopyxis sp, maybe G. vulcanalis or whatever we are calling them now.
