Photograph taken at dusk of a Neolithic monument called the Giant's Ring, on the outskirts of Belfast. Site is a large earthwork circle (200m diameter) built about 2,700 BC. Image shows four large stones with a huge capstone on top which are the remains of a passage tomb. Originally the stones would have been covered with smaller stones and earth. Surrounding the stones is green grass. Silhouettes of skeleton trees on the rise of the earthwork circle behind and a beautiful sunset in the sky. Kept the photograph dark, because it was! Magical place where my inner neolithic nerd could shine for a few minutes! Well worth a visit if you're in Belfast.
