Sullivan settled quickly and hit Regent cold. They took the lead within 90 seconds, when Chloe McDowell converted a penalty corner for 1-0. Sullivan celebrate Sophie McFarlane's goal Worse was to follow for Regent. On 4 minutes Sophie McFarlane fired home a goal from open play to put Sullivan 2-0 up.

It was a lively game with both teams creating chances in the first quarter but we went into the second quarter with the game still scoreless. It was a lively first quarter. Larne applied a lot of pressure in Q2 with most of the play down the far end of the pitch.

Right from the opening, Sullivan went into attack and were quickly rewarded when Izzy Wray slotted home from mid circle for a 1 - 0 lead.

While the low bright sunlight created plenty of shadow and glare it didn't create much heat to warm the cold steady breeze across the pitch.
