Irish Hockey Trophy : Queen’s Universty 7 South Antrim 0 Semi Final Queens faced South Antrim on a sunny Saturday afternoon in the Irish Hockey Trophy Semi Final at The Dub. Queens took the game to South Antrim, opening the scoring, after 3 minutes, when Harry Scott found space in the circle to fire the ball under the advancing keeper for 1-0. Despite numerous chances Queens failed to find the net again. South Antrim failed to fire, and it was 1-0 to Queens at the end of the 1st quarter.

Club Hockey: Pegasus win Girls U15 Performance We caught up with the Ulster Hockey Girls U15 Performance Finals on Sunday evening at Stormont Pavilion. We covered the semi final between Pegasus Hockey Club and Banbridge Hockey Club which Pegasus won 1 - 0. U15 Performance Semi Final: Pegasus 1 Banbridge 0 The Final featured Pegasus and Rainey. Pegasus took the lead in Q3 but Rainey equalised in Q4 and the game went into runs to decide the Performance Champions.

Schools Hockey: 2025 John Waring Tournament I caught up with a couple of games in the All Ireland U14 Schoolboys John Waring Tournament held at Lisnagarvey Hockey Club on Wednesday. Defending champions Cookstown High faced Ashton School, Banbridge Academy, Bandon Grammar, Kings Hospital School and Wesley College in a 15 game round robin contest. Junior hockey superstar Noah Cuddy led his school to a second successive tournament win as Cookstown finished the tournament undefeated with four wins and a draw.

Club Hockey: Girls U11 Finals Day We caught up with the Ulster Hockey Girls U11 Club Finals at Stormont Pavilion on Sunday morning. We picked up the Cup competition from the Quarter Final stages plus we were able to capture the Plate Final. The Cup competition was won by Lurgan HC who defeated Ards in the Final and the Plate competition was won by Rainey HC who defeated Belfast Harlequins 2 in their final.

The teams battled out a competitive first half though Saintfield looked to have a definite edge on chances created as Rebecca McCallion kept the Owls defence busy on a few occasions. Rebecca McCallion had a lively game for Saintfield The young Owls side settled more into the game as the half progressed and a couple of runs from Eva McGoldrick-Mathers kept Saintfield's keeper on her toes.

It was a lively game from start to finish with both teams giving their all. The teams played a lively game. I took in the 1st half and part of the 3rd quarter. Midfield conjestion! It was tight and very cagey in the 1st quarter with both teams showing nerves. Gradually Kilkeel began to take control but couldn’t breakdown the Cookstown defence.
