You are looking at what was without doubt the most frustrating fish I have ever had the pleasure of trying to photograph. Paragobiodon lacunicolus - aka the Panda Goby are extremely shy and live in the depths of its Pocillopora coral host.

Saw maybe my 1st Sarato’s Gobies (Gobius fallax) at Cabo de Palos as well as plenty of Buccich’s (G. buchichii) associated with Snakelocks Anemones, lots Giant Gobies (G. cobitus) & a Slender Goby (G. geniporus).
