#Goffstown rep resigns. Another Special Election date TBA.

3 Things to Know from the October 6, 2025 meeting of the Goffstown Select Board. Item 1: The Select Board voted to authorize the fire chief to post a bid request for a previously-budgeted study of Fire Station 2's age and the condition of plumbing, electrical, and heating systems in the building. The study will also look into energy efficiency and asbestos presence. Item 2: The Select Board heard from the director of public works about potentially shifting some opening hours at the transfer station to accommodate the schedules of some residents; no action was taken as further information on usage rates for the current schedule is needed. At this point in the year, it would be too dark to keep it open later, so this will be revisited early next year. Item 3: The Select Board voted to appoint Daniel King as an alternate member of the conservation commission; Jim Hallene as a member of the Parks & Rec commission; and Jean Walker as a cemetery trustee.
