I’m so glad I found these books! They are such a great variation on the vampire story. A lot of them are the same thing with different characters but that’s one truly is different.

The action is constant the villains are gruesome and with every passing book!

Noella, extinguishing the flames around, whirls back over to the shadow creature. "So! Which loved one of yours did I kill or whatever?" The creature, confused, responds, "None? I'm not from here. I don't know who you are." Noella crosses her arms. "Well, that's a first. What's your name?" Creature: "I don't have one." Noella: "What do you want me to call you?" Creature: "Whatever you want!" Noella facepalms with both hands. "Oh, lordy, I don't have the strength for this." The creature immediately says, "That works!" Noella slowly moves her hands down her face to give the creature the most tired and annoyed stare, while saying, "What does?" The creature gives a happy face and says, "Lordy!"
