This is fascinating and really chimes with what young people told us as part of the latest #GoodChildhoodReport
Many of the findings & recommendations ring true to our own work here at TCS, including in the #GoodChildhoodReport 2025.
Regarding the provision of support & opportunities for creative & non-academic routes, & the extent to which our education system is inclusive.
Improving outcomes means tackling child poverty & wellbeing. Recommendations need funding & support for schools. This Review is a start, but real change needs bold, joined-up action putting children’s happiness & voice first.📢🫵

However, curriculum reform alone, isn’t enough. The Review must drive a cultural shift prioritising wellbeing, long-term investment, & holistic support.
Our #GoodChildhoodReport shows school is where children feel most unhappy, with 2 in 5 worried about grades. The system needs change.📢✏️
In light of the recent Curriculum & Assessment Review publication, we welcome the step forward's in recognising the broader needs of children & young people.
We welcome the focus on life skills, digital literacy & PSHE. Key area's championed in our #GoodChildhoodReport ,to help young people thrive.

2 in 5 children and young people were ‘very’ or ‘quite’ worried about rising prices. * *The Children’s Society’s annual household survey, completed in April to June 2025 by 2,007 children and young people aged 10 to 17 from across the UK, and their parent or carer.
