Griselda rests in the middle on their back & keeps a hand on Sphene's shoulder, keeping her close while the other cups Lamaty'i's butt, holding her close as well. #gramasphene is new territory for me & im approaching it cautiously. like i implied, the main plot points of msq are things i like to write alongside, moving some pieces & characters to fit my post-wol narrative, but given gris & lamaty'i's history with endless sphene, i see a natural progression.

Griselda's POV of Sphene & Lamaty'i dressed in maid attire, holding each of their hands, leading them to a table in Gris's own softly lit room.

Lamaty'i, Sphene & Griselda locked in an embrace inside the break room. Sphene is crying while Gris & Lamaty'i wrap their arms around her, wearing close eyed looks of empathy. The drink choices was a pivotal moment for Gris, even if it was as small as them ordering the same thing at the same time as Sphene. It was a uniquely human thing to do, a complete far cry from the Endless Sphene's conduct. From then, Gris stops having those flashes of their past with Endless Sphene & treats her like a completely new acquaintance. When they're stopped by Calyx, Lamaty'i bares her fangs on instinct, wanting to protect both Griselda & Sphene. She reveals this to Gris later on, telling them there's still a big part of her that holds out on knowing Sphene & giving her a second shot at life. The two then sort of silently resolve to protect her, not as a queen but as her own person deserving of better. Since my timeline is WoL-less & no Azem crystal for trials, I imagine the encounter against Zelenia came down to just the three of them, with Sphene acting more their backline tactician & Lamaty'i & Griselda bearing the full brunt of combat. Sphene then has a recollection(lol) of her doing something similar with Otis & Zelenia in her past, which opens her heart to the both of them, seeing them as already proven reliable comrades, she also wants to share in their friendship. At the end of the patch, the three of them share a moment in private starting with Sphene breaking down over all she's endured for her first moments back in reality. Before the tears fall, Lamaty'i puts her arms around her & reminds her that while it's different, she's not alone now. Gris agrees & offers her some insight into what happened to them & while they're very much out of that tunnel, they can kind of understand how it feels. I think their genuine words & gestures are enough to break those walls of hers & she finally admits how scared she is of the future but thankful for Lamaty'i & Griselda.
