I tried to explain to my 5yo Granddaughter that schools in Cuba were struggling to buy exercise books, pencils, rulers etc etc and that I was taking the mini stationary pile by my desk with me to donate. The next time I saw her she had wrapped an eraser up for me to take ❤️. #Granddadery

In 1973 my Grandad took me on a trip behind ‘Flying Scotsman’.
Today, I passed on the tradition with H. We had a fantastic outing despite the delays (caused by the hot weather). Some of the photos are his.

Before the temperature rose too much, we went to Dawlish beach; Rosie and I rescued thirty stranded Moon jellyfish. Then a chap on the breakwater waved us over and on the sea floor were at least 100 Spider crab.
