The buns opened up. They're toasted with butter. There is a layer of grape jam and some crumpled bluecheese on top.
The completed burger! Thick, juicy, and medium rare.
Y'all, my friends are saying this recipe I made last year was " #cursed " and " #wrong ". But I don't see anything wrong with this. It's #bluecheese crumpled up on #grapejelly on toasted #briochebuns and then a #bubba brand #hamburger in the middle.
What this needed was #onions and #arugula.

I'm making progress filling up the steamer.
We get earwigs (shudder) in our grapes so I go through the tedious process of taking the grapes off their stems to make sure there's no bugs.
We have purple Concord type and green grapes, I like to mix them up for the best flavor. #juice #grapejelly

Male Acorn Woodpecker looking for his son "Elliot." Moore Creek Riparian corridor behind our house.
Where'd he go? Might have to turn on the light.
Elliot finally decided to make an appearance and get some grub. His father did return shortly thereafter, but photos of feeding not great.
Might have posted this one earlier. Here's Elliot a couple of weeks later enjoying grape jelly at the "easy feeder." Don't know why, but our population of Acorn Woodies is now around 3-4 vs about 12 several years ago. Maybe because neighbors across the creek built a motorcycle stunt track and felled numerous trees (but on their property). Yeah, we filed a complaint but without success (very loud, bad for adjacent protected habitat; two jurisdictions with differing views of habitat protection were involved).
Today's "Unsanctioned" Acorn Woodpecker Day." We named the baby "Elliot." Elliot's dad trying to get him to come out for dinner but left before Elliot poked his head out of the tree. A couple weeks later, Elliot enjoyed feeding the easy way. #AcornWoodpeckers #GrapeJelly #EucalyptusTree🪶🕊️📷
