Celebrating #OnePlaceWednesday by completing the first draft of my book on the history of #GraveneyGoodnestone school. Started as a booklet to commemorate 150 years and became 45000 words. 😂 Now need to get it reviewed.
#GraveneyGoodnestone
Really enjoyed giving a talk for the 150th anniversary celebrations of Graveney School at the church last night. So many new schools were built following the 1870 Elementary Education Act, it makes a great theme for #OnePlaceWednesday. #GraveneyGoodnestone
#OnePlaceWednesday people, I am seeking some guidance please. The first draft of my #GraveneyGoodnestone school history is nearly complete. I have school photos from 1913 to 1938 but the photographer is no longer in business. How do I find copyright owner please? The book needs pictures.
On this #OnePlaceWednesday I am trying to track down image owners to request copyright permission. It can be a long, drawn out process, but has to done.
So, in the meantime here is one of my own of #GraveneyGoodnestone. My favourite place to play as a child.
This #OnePlaceWednesday I'm travelling to meet my three favourite nonagenarians, all ex-residents of #GraveneyGoodnestone. We will be talking of Christmas dinners past, especially the year they had swan! With video on. #OralHistory.
Three Goodwin sisters from #GraveneyGoodnestone with a combined age of 279 and still going strong.
Happy 5th birthday to #OnePlaceStudies on this cold and frosty #OnePlaceWednesday. Today I'm studying the efforts of the Headmistress of #GraveneyGoodnestone school to warm the classroom. Her many complaints to the Board of inadequate fireplace and fuel seemed to be ignored.
#OnePlaceWednesday this week is a school day. I'm tracking the lives of the first 100 pupils of #GraveneyGoodnestone school. I originally intended to look at migration and employment, but I keep getting sidetracked by fascinating life stories. This could take some time. 😁
Today is a day of contrasts. Morning working on #GraveneyGoodnestone school register analysis. Afternoon of Hawick Reivers Festival preparation and evening of AI. So that's the 16th, 19th and 21st centuries covered. 😁
