"Paradise Towers" is fascinating. The terror and the silliness go hand in hand, and it's clearly the point where the Doctor changed from Good to explicitly Chaotic Good. Richard Briers does his usual excellent work and the cast is very deep.

If "The Trial Of A Time Lord" had been flat out bad, it would have been bearable. What's made the season so difficult to watch is how easy it is to imagine a version bereft of the BBC's bullshit, that would have been poor Six's best.
