Prior context: Once Whitney's friends arrive, Whitney enters the apartment through the open door and tells his mates to start effing up the place and to take whatever they want. When the man comes to, Whitney squats beside him and helps him up, before delivering punishment as he sees fit (which means he beats the guy back down to the ground). Image: Whitney stands smiling through an angry expression with his hand out in front of his chest stained with blood as the man begs him to stop. Whitney says no, and says they are just getting started. Not pictured: Whitney slaps the guy around a bit more before picking him up off the ground and slamming him against a wall. "You so much as breathe next to my...friend...again... I will let the guys at the dock decide what to do with you." He laughs. "Maybe they'll make you their slut." He and his friends leave with bottles of booze. The next day, Whitney spies Grezy and bumps into her and tosses her cardigan over her head. "Better watch where you're going...'Greasy'." Whitney ends up sticking with this particular nickname for her, especially after he starts crushing on her cousin Jay and decides to refer to him as his slut once they start dating.

Prior context: Sydney and Robin search the apartments until finding the one Grezy is staying in when a man Robin recognizes as her Uncle opens the door. When Robin asks to see her, he is told to beat it. Feeling confident and protective of his dear friend, he stops the door and forces himself inside after landing a decent punch. The man isn't down however, so once Robin realizes he is about to get hit back, he flinches preparing for impact. The impact never lands however, because Grezy appears and says through gritted teeth, "you can hit me all you want, but don't you dare touch Robin!" She lands a well aimed kick, knocking him down before knocking him out with a punch of her own. She looks like she wants to keep going but holds back. Image: Now outside, Robin watches off image as Grezy collapses into Sydney's arms, crying apologizing for being a burden. While they console her, Whitney stands around the corner texting his friends. He tells them he has an idea for some fun and sends them the address to the apartment, looking proud of himself all the while, smoking through a grin.

As he makes note of it, Grezy stands up and heads out of the class before it starts, knowing Whitney will have something to say and not want to hear it. Upon opening the note, Whitney reads that Grezy tells him not to worry about her and that she thanks him for being a good friend. Whitney feels conflicted about the word, 'friend'. After all, she was his girl; at least that's what he always said. Despite not wanting her to just be his friend, he can't help but still find it nice she cares about him.

"Fine. You wanna protect that bastard? I don't care. Move it, Slut..let's go." Grezy looks conflicted before pulling away and shaking her head. Image: Grezy reveals she can't leave, stating that her Uncle knows about Robin and Sydney and has made threats on their safety if she rats him out to the police or runs away. Grezy knows that even if she let Whitney beat him up (or fought back herself), there was always a chance he would act on his threat. Grezy asks Whitney to leave before she has to worry about his safety too (fearing her Uncle will see her talking with him). Not pictured: Whitney leaves begrudgingly. All the while he thinks about his own Uncle and how he actually gives a shit. He feels his blood boil under his skin. Not sure of what to do, he calls up his friends and causes somd chaos to release some stress.

Context prior to image: Whitney's concern around Grezy's injuries and angry outburst sends him to the Orphanage; convinced the issue stems from home. Before trying to enter, he overhears some orphans discussing Bailey and how he sucks. Whitney thinks he has his lead. He forces the orphans to tell him where to find Bailey. One of them reveals they bumped into him on accident while looking for work at the flats across the nearby pond. After learning from a resident not to bother the door with the lotus symbol on it, Whitney finds Bailey, but learns he doesn't deal with Grezy. "She isn't my responsibility anymore." When he learns Whitney means to give her Uncle a good beating, Bailey happily reveals his address, claiming he "cost me a good amount of money. Do whatever you want to him." Image: Upon locating Grezy, Whitney stands at the open doorway looking angry as he observes Grezy now has a black eye. Grezy stares back at Whitney in shock while asking how he found her. Whitney demands to be let in.

Prior context: Grezy, as per the in game mechanics of DoL, lived in the Orphanage despite being a grown adult because the caretaker Bailey is a money hungry jerk. However in my overarching story, Grezy is at some point adopted by her biological Uncle (with heavy grumbling by Bailey), and thus becomes 'free' in the process. Upon living with her Uncle she quickly learns he wants her both for free labor and as means of letting out his aggression. In the image, Whitney from DoL, grabs ahold of Grezy's cardigan pulling it back to reveal bruises on her arm. He says she belongs to him and that it is best for her to say who it is that is hurting her 'damaging his girl'. He teases that she loves whoever it is, but is quickly cut off before he can finish as Grezy screams, "I hate him!!" Whitney looks at her a bit taken aback, surprised by her out of character intense reaction. Not seen here is Grezy booking it down the stairs and away from the roof of the university, leaving Whitney to stew in his curiosity and growing concern.

A silly comic featuring my DoL self insert realizing just how many similar design elements Whitney from DoL shares with Cutter from ElfQuest. These comparisons include being blonde, having a high up ponytail, wearing a choker and inspiring wolf vibes. The latter comparison is from a wide spread belief in the DoL community that Whitney would get the in game Wolf Transformation if it was available for Love Interests. Some of the design similarities are not unique to how I draw and depict Whitney, but the ones I feel like I did on my own now make me wonder if I was internally inspired by Cutter! For the comic, we see Grezy at the top of the page reading ElfQuest, the initials EQ marking the cover, while musing that Cutter (the leader of the Wolf Riders) is cool. Below that, Grezy says she can't place it but he reminds her of someone before gasping, mouth agape, realizing suddenly that the person she is reminded of is Whitney (who is saying S'up 'Greasy'/ I use this instead of the usual "how is my favorite slut" line due to the fact my Whitney is dating her cousin Jay and thus now refers to him as 'his slut'. Ahem. Anyway, read ElfQuest, it is really cool and you should still be able to read it for free via the website the creators made. It is rad as heck and I still haven't finished it despite owning most if not all of the compiled volumes BUT IT IS SO GOOD. My favorite comic next to BONE.

Silly sort of messy doodle featuring myself scrolling on my phone, looking at some of my old Sydney art, when I suddenly realize the hair I draw Sydney with happens to look a lot like a certain body part, leading me to scream, "OH MY GAWD MY SYD HAS D**CK HAIR" The body part in question, in case it isn't obvious, is a penis. His hair, especially at that angle, looks like a penis. Is this somehow a freudian esque type slip or something? I like dick so I draw my horny guy with a hairdo that resembles it??? I don't know. I am both inclined to laugh about this and poke fun at it occasionally while also telling myself this is a sign I need to edit his look. I will probably leave it as is because it is funny. But if his design changes....now you know why xD

Long winded story context below. Trigger warning for abuse. Above is Whitney grabbing ahold of Grezy's cardigan, pulling the sleeve far up enough to show bruises. While doing this he tells her, "I don't think you get it, Slut. You're Mine." (Grezy doesn't say anything to this at the moment, but she has on many occasions told Whitney she is not his girlfriend) Whitney continues by adding in reference to her various bruises, "If I wanna know who is banging up my goods, its better to spill. I don't care if you lOoove him--". He says this in hopes of finding out who is hurting her and making sure they know not to mess with 'his girl'. Grezy reacts towards Whitney's teasing that she isn't telling him who is hurting her because she must care about them. She screams out, "I HATE HIM", anger flashing in her eyes as Whitney stares back surprised to see her so angry. Story context: In DoL Bailey refuses to set free the adult orphans so as to make them 'pay him back' for raising them. Grezy has always wanted to escape Bailey (and take Robin with her of course), and she finally gets that chance one day when her Uncle suddenly arrives at the orphanage wanting to adopt her. Bailey has to allow the adoption and so, from then on, she is now freed from his control and only pays him Robin's share of her debt. (This kind of works in game too since I only have to pay 400 dollars thanks to JoJo sharing his wisdom to me about changing the debt settings. Thank you friend! Robin basically pays me that amount for 'his share' so...yea it works!) She tells Robin she will set him free one day by encouraging her Uncle to adopt him too. Everything changes when she realizes her Uncle only adopted her because he wanted free labor. Long story short (sort of), Grezy is abused by this Uncle and only stays because he has threatened to hurt Sydney and Robin should she snitch or run away. On a lighter note, she does eventually leave and room with Syd before getting her own place!

Koko has always aspired to explore new places and has wanted to just have fun being an adventurer of sorts, so when Bonnie sent out fliers advertising her Pirate Crew, Koko was like, "OH! That sounds like fun...way better than rotting away at a university and having no clue what I am doing with my life..". Long story short, she joins up. But as one might expect, she didn't ring up her folks and say, "Yea Mom, Dad, I am gonna go on this stranger's weird flying thing...also it might be a crime? I dunno...BYE I LOVE YOU." She went without saying a word, thinking it was better to just stay quiet about the whole thing. Koko doesn't like to lie, in fact she refuses to. People wonder how she can do her job in the crew if she can't lie, to which she says, "Distracting people isn't lying. It's called ACTING...*dramatic pose*". So when she realizes this thing she got herself into is a lot more dangerous and important that she initially believed it would be, she regrets not telling her folks. Her crying here and saying, "If I die they won't ever know" happens right after she was rescued from a fight and has already spent a good few weeks worrying over what to say to her parents in her next letter. She wants to tell them but she doesn't know how. She is scared of them hating her and disappointing them in the process. In the end, she does eventually tell them (perhaps a doodle for another day), and keeps her cool as best she can while having to protect her town from invading pirates. Girl has a busy day just trying to have a nice vacay while introducing her parents to her boyfriend. OOF.

This has been in my drafts for like a million years (aka a few months) and I wanted to finish it to some degree.
So, uh, have a sad Koko?
(I promise she gets comforting hugs after this <3 )

(In my musings about what happened, I imagine she was hurt by the Black Wolf while in the woods. I also like to think she was found by Jay and Kylar who fought off the BW and then took her to the temple knowing Sydney would be there. Probably should have taken her to a hospital but hey, I want to work Sydney into everything soooo yea.) Sydney cries out "you aren't allowed to leave me! Oh God please stay with me please...". The text becomes more scribbly as he becomes more incoherent. This angst aside, after getting treated and later taken to a hospital (finally), she makes a quick recovery and all is well! Phew.

This year I plan to stress less on coloring everything I draw.

My OC Sky Pirate Koko, whose job aboard the ship is the role of Distractor, freaking out excitedly while watching Spy X Family on an Ipad or similar device; enraptured by Loid's coolness and ability to transform himself perfectly during jobs. She says, "Oh my gosh, Loid is AMAZING!! I want...no, NEED masks like that...~AAAAAaaaa~"/ "Maybe Lantern could magic me one? I-It HAS to be possible!" Ryuei, her boyfriend stands far back pointing his fingers together while wearing an old shirt of Koko's, saying, "Should I be jealous?"

We watched the Spy X Family movie yesterday and the whole time I couldn't help but think my OC Koko would FREAK OUT upon seeing Loid's skills in action. He would be her idol!

And don't worry Ryuei, you're good....sometimes a girl just has to simp.
