Extra info: While Grouse Mountain is a popular ski area in North Vancouver, the official 2010 Olympic freestyle skiing and snowboarding events were held at nearby Cypress Mountain in West Vancouver. However, Grouse Mountain was heavily involved in the 2010 Games in other ways: Broadcasting Hub: NBC's Today show used the resort as its home base, broadcasting live for 12 days. Training & Legacy: The mountain has a long history of training Olympic-level athletes and installed a high-speed chairlift named the "Olympic Express" following Vancouver's successful 2003 bid. Torch Relay: Grouse hosted a stop on the 2010 Olympic Torch Relay.

Two bears focussed on the wet grassy ground atop a mountain with their heads down, eating whatever delicacies they find among the grass and puddles and completely ignoring me! How rude! Extra info: Grinder and Coola are two grizzly bears who have resided at the Grouse Mountain Refuge for Endangered Wildlife since 2001. They were brought to the refuge after being orphaned as cubs. Grinder was found alone near Invermere, while Coola was found near Bella Coola after his mother was killed by a vehicle. They were introduced to each other and have lived together at the refuge ever since, becoming popular attractions.

A road at the top of a mountain in Canada in the summer of 2024. Despite that, it is a rainy day and so the road is wet and as it goes into the near distance the silhouette of a number of people in the mist are seen with umbrellas. They appear to be standing under cable cars. Shrubbery, wild flowers and a number of very tall pine trees line the road on both sides, as well a massive wooden sculpture on the left, but from this angle is indiscernible and just looks like a giant poop emoji!
