I wish it were a more common thing to do. #GuerrillaGardening is the closest social approximation, but its not even about "adding" plants. Habitats survive from disturbance, humans remove those patterns in search for static unchanging picturesque views when we develop an area. We need to become
One of the #ReWilding spots at the park in the neighborhood. Plan on using depletion mowing and hand pulling to remove honeysuckle & ivy- mowed about a month ago. Cant wait to see it in a few months #GuerrillaGardening #NativePlants #GardenWild
Bellwort patch sprouted up in the area I mowed at the park 3weeks ago along the creek😍. Was trying to wait for spring beauty to seed before mowing again, but now gonna push it off a little longer lol ivy is still surprisingly thin #GuerrillaGardening #GardenWild
I love sedges and spring is my favorite time to "hunt" them lol saw this adorable little Woodruff though all by itself in an area I removed English Ivy from & Seeded with a #NativePlants mix a few years ago. Some areas have been scoured completely, but a few are doing great!😍 #GuerrillaGardening
Pla ted some of this last fall in the #guerrillagardening patch vernal system ive been crafting at the park, can't Wait to see it take off
And its zoned commercial, meaning its almost certainly to be clear-cut. That means I dont feel guilty one-bit about what I am about to do #PlantRescues #GuerrillaGardening #NativePlants #SorryNotSorry
Im awful woth #plantID but even awful-er with #sedgeID Blue Sedge (Carex Sp) ? It had a noticeable blue hue lol growing on embankment I pulled Ivey & Sowed #NativePlants mix on ~2yrs ago. Seed-take was meh, but ferns are doing well and surviving scouring #GuerrillaGardening
Rue Anenome, and a few bellworts hiding in the background waiting to bloom (both misfits transplants!)These have just sprouted out in the kast ~48hrs ,no doubt thanks to the 80F+temps and burst of rain. #Nativeplants #NativeVaPlants #NativeHabitat #NativeGardening #GuerrillaGardening #MisfitsGarden
Last year I cut about half the grass on this no mow meadow. It had become choked by the grass. And then we planted hundreds of daffodil bulbs. And then they started to bloom. #flowers #urbanmeadow #bellingham #guerrillagardening #bellgreen
This is all that remains of the stone cattle trough that was stolen in 2019. Pretty sure the base is hollow, with a few bricks and stones in. I am contemplating turning it into a new garden space. #guerrillagardening #sydenham #se26 #flowers #bellgreen

Adding some colour to an abandoned tree pit. #bellgreen #flowers #guerrillagardening #se26 #primrose
This abandoned tree pit is often littered and fouled. I have made fruitless attempts to get it fixed. I planted a few daffodils in November, which are sprouting. Today I put in 8 tiny Primroses. I hope it will cut littering by bringing some colour to the pavement. #bellgreen #guerrillagardening
Do you want to restore ecosystems in LA fire burned areas? ❤️🩹 TBH we all should! ❤️🔥 Start with *neighborhood* groups like the Seed Bomb Project & Altadena Poppy Project! 💚
Don’t go to closed trails for now or spread seeds in ALL wild areas.

I’m still feeling upset & angry …. Someone deliberately cut down the indigenous crab apple sapling I planted in the green space where I live/walk over 2 years ago…
Even the council mowers took care to avoid the little tree..
I keep wondering WHY..?

Creating seed bombs is a pretty peaceful activity, even if the name suggests otherwise. These germination-friendly packages are an enjoyable way to add wildflowers to abandoned lots and other neglected areas, as well as hard-to-reach corners of your garden. 🌱 #gardening #guerrillagardening #plants
Seed rain?
I mean, I went out today on a long walk scattering stones from our plum tree but I'm sure that's not what you mean here...

We should all go and seed bomb the hell out of that place!!! #GuerrillaGardening #MilkweedRevolution
Guerrilla gardening isn’t just planting—it’s quiet rebellion with a trowel. 🌱🌆

Mijn vader stuurde mij zojuist vol enthousiasme deze foto door: "in ons groene voortuintje"! En toen: "ik moet stiekem op meer plaatsen veldboeket strooien". 😃. Heerlijk! #verwondering #leven met #natuur #guerrillagardening
