A painting of some creatures in a basket: a violet amphibian, one with a sort of beak and brown fur, one with fur, fangs, and horns, a blue bumpy lump, and a green thing with a tentacle snoot. Acrylics on wood panel.
A basketful of bespoke beasties, arriving exactly when they mean to.

Dressing up a bespoke beastie for #Guild11Mysterium!
For some reason I misremembered the posting date and thought it was 25th oops 😳

Digital drawing showing a monster inspired by the white baneberry (doll’s eye) plant. The leaf-like green and red mouth has a red stem with a white eyeball-looking berry sticking out of it. Projecting in a forwardly curved swoop from the top of the mouth area is a red stem with many branches, all with a white eyeball berry. At the end of the curved stem is a particularly large berry that looks like an eyeball looking forward. The rest of the body, which includes 4 legs with claws and a tail with a stinger on the end, is formed from a tangled root ball with glowing red embers within. The background is a foggy reddish miasma and a dead black tree is visible through the fog on the left of the picture behind the monster.
I interpreted #BespokeBeasties to mean “create your own monster,” and since I have always wanted to do something with the “doll’s eye” plant, here is my Bespoke Beastie for the final prompt of #Guild11Mysterium
A wondrous contribution to this month's #Guild11Mysterium challenge and an admiring repost for #FoxFriday #FridayFox

Digital art of a hybrid between a pink tarantula and a black rosy-finch. It has five eyes, four legs, and stubby fledgling wings.
Bespoke beasties? I've got one for you, for today's #Guild11Mysterium prompt!

Thanks #Guild11Mysterium for the super fun 3 prompts!
My brain read today's prompt as "Bespoke Besties" (instead of "Beasties") so here's a quick sketch with pumpkin + spider clipart.
May work on the first "Precocious Pumpkin-lings" prompt belatedly, as I just saw the post a few days ago 🎃
a seated fox facing the viewer with outstretched tawny owl wings, a deer's antlers on the fox's head and several fox tailes waving and undulating behind him in the night sky dotted with stars. A labyrinthine shape around and in front of the fox. Line drawing, black and white and water colours, shades of brown and dark blue. Maria Strutz
For the storytelling competition the fox wanted something special, and went to Bespoke Beasties;
So for one day and one night he turned into a fox of many tails/tales, became a flying fox, and donned an antler crown.
Dear Reader, he won the competition! 🦊🌀🌒

Some scruffy looking creatures gathered together: a green guy with a toothy grin, a blue furry fellow with small horns, one with brown fur and big eyes, a purple dragon. An eye on a stalk pops up from behind.
I’m still working on my piece for the #guild11mysterium prompt, “Bespoke Beasties.” In the meantime, here’s an old color pencil drawing that fits the bill.
My work in progress piece of three bespoke beasties out and about looking for tricks and treats.

Digital art of a rundown brown cottage with the tail, legs, roof arch like an arched back, ears, and whiskers hanging out the open door of an angry, black cat.

Digital drawing showing a green and brown speckled snail crawling on an orange pumpkin that is still connected to its vine. Two green pumpkin leaves are visible on the left and right side of the drawing. Instead of a shell, the snail has a broken down old cottage on its back. The cottage has a moldy old stucco exterior with a broken wood plank roof. The wooden door has broken off the frame and is leaning crookedly on the front of the cottage. Some remains of broke glass are in the two windows. The scene is set at night against a black foggy sky with some white stars visible

A photograph of a yellow and black striped pencil resting on a sketchbook page with a light blue ribbon. The pencil illustration is of a crumbling cottage with stony walls and a thatched roof that looks like it was abandoned by its makers long ago. Not all inhabitants have left though...an eye peers from the darkness behind the tilted, broken door and shadowy tentacles can be seen emerging from the rubble of the collapsed wall on the right side of the page. Art by Emily Jane Foster
It would appear not all of the inhabitants have left this crumbling cottage... 🏚️

Digital drawing showing three youthful Jack-o-lantern creatures with mechanical metal arms and legs joyfully tossing rolls of white toilet paper onto an abandoned cybertruck that has broken down on a secluded forest road that is lined with trees and green shrubs. In the upper left corner, a full moon shines through the trees.
