Major screwup!
I built this lovely fretboard and pushed my skill level to add inlay.
The problem is that the inlay is wider than the final fretboard dimensions.
I was so focused on the new inlay process I didn’t think it through.
Bummed.
Planning the new guitar build
Using the newly built side bending form
Adding tail & neck blocks
Adding linings. Bent solid ( not kerfed ) linings. Made the body very solid feeling.

I’m building another guitar ( possibly 3 more).
I decided to make a smaller body, 3/4 size or parlor. Not sure what to call it.
Of course this requires all new molds & jigs like a new side bending form.
It keeps me away from doom scrolling.
And… still drawing….. on the bright side I’ve got my pickup design worked out with www.sentellpickups.com it’s going to be pretty cool! I’m digging this shape! #headless

The bridge is just sitting there.
I added carbon fiber strips to the headstock in the hope it will strengthen the scarf joint. It just made me nervous.
I also duplicated the laminated neck and made a veneer to pretty up the back of the headstock.
