Easter camping holiday c1958-59 is my guess. It was cold, it was great. Paraffin stove, paraffin lighting with a Tilley lamp. Great memories of Cae Gwernog above Dolgellau, Snowdonia. Oh and the open fire was allowed and no trace was left behind. Running water was from a stream. #HappyDays.

We had those weird metal extendable footplate things that you attached to the bottom of your shoe and tied with a bow on the toe piece. Repeated jiggling on the roads & paths meant the nuts & bolts kept dropping off the bottom and would crash your foot to the floor in the middle 😂 #happydays
