The 10th Annual #HBCUClimateChange Conference ended on Sunday. Given the huge body of environmental, climate, health justice & equity research, scholarship and community work, our HBCU-GBO Gulf Equity Consortium has produced, it's time for our Centers and Consortium to be endowed like at PWIs.
The 10th Annual #HBCUClimateChange Conference wrapped up today with two incredible student panels! Over five days, 481 attendees from 16 HBCUs & seven PWIs engaged in keynotes, expert & community panels, breakout sessions, and a poster session with 46 presenters—plus a book signing!

Day 3 at #HBCUClimateChange Conf: Panel on “Climate Change Impacts in EJ Communities” & session on “Investing in Universities, Empowering Communities” (alt energy). Daniel Blackman (Founder, Renaissance94) gave a keynote; Jacqui Patterson discussed inequities in vulnerability, impact & response.
