The Starter Home Act #HF3895 and #SF4123 allow each new home (up to 4/lot) to have three bedrooms (1500 sq ft). This would mean that cities get to choose how to get there, but would allow more family sized homes across the state.
AFP - Ms Lee - in support of #HF3895
2/3rds support from constituents.
“My daughter cannot afford to move out” - door knocking story. roadblocks to ADUs from local governments. Homes are unaffordable.

Making it easier, faster, cheaper to build more types of homes.
There are many cities doing creative work in this area. if one city is doing the work and their neighbors are not they will be swamped with the unmet demand from the region.
