Well on my way towards getting my outpost on HIP 4055 built.
Once the scientific outpost is in place, I'm looking into getting the relevant infrastructure in place to try and source most of the materials I'll need for further expansion in-system (refineries and the like).

I chose HIP-4055 from other candidates, given that it was a star that had already been discovered and cataloged by 2025.
This star was discovered by the European Space Agency's astrometric satellite Hipparcos between 1989 and 1993.
