Penobscot County HIV outbreak continues to grow; providers say the rest of Maine is at risk The Maine Center for Disease Control has identified two more positive HIV cases in Penobscot County, bringing the total cases to 26 since an outbreak was identified more than a year ago.

So... There's an #HIV/ Hep C outbreak in Maine. Most of those impacted use needle-based drugs and they're unhoused... but... um... They've smashed through all their typical HIV incidence numbers... Jesus be a free, clean needle program ASAP. #HIVpossible
