Why is CSBG so important? It funds state & local Community Action Agencies (CAA) and focuses on local approaches--no federal shenanigans limiting your organizations poverty alleviation initiatives.

California is an important state - it has 52 House delegates (making up 12% of the house). Of those 52, 43 are Democrats (making up 20% of House Democrats).
California also receives CSBG funding. According to CSD, as of May 2025, the state has received over $68 million through CSBG.
