I think @stephenkb.bsky.social means 'decreasing' but #HS2North was never about speed, it was entirely about capacity and getting long-distance rail traffic off congested lines.
If Lab was serious about the #GrowthAgenda, they would be reinstating it, even with a lower and cheaper design speed.
