It’s amazing how something as simple as a small plastic toy can instantly transport you back to the carefree days of your childhood. 🥺✨ So, today was a very special and auspicious day here in Coimbatore city - it was Hanuman Jayanti (also known as Anjaneyar Jayanti)! 🙏 As part of my spiritual journey, I decided to visit the beautiful Sri Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple. 🛕 For those who want to visit, it's located at Ramaswamy Nagar Rd, Vadavalli, near Curio Garden at Navavoor Pirivu, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu - 641046, India. The vibe around the temple was absolutely incredible. There was a huge crowd of devotees, the air was filled with the sound of chants and bhajans, and there was a palpable sense of devotion and celebration. 🎉 But one of the best parts about temple festivals in India is always the vibrant roadside stalls that pop up for the occasion! 🎪 As I was walking past the colorful rows of vendors selling everything from flowers and puja items to bangles and balloons, my eyes suddenly locked onto one particular stall. It was overflowing with cheap, cheerful, and colorful children's toys. 🧸 And right there, front and center, was a toy that instantly unlocked a flood of core childhood memories for me. It was a simple, wind-up jumping mouse! 🐭 Do you remember these? You twist the little key on the side, put it on the ground, and it frantically hops around with a little clicking sound. It's such a basic mechanism, but as a kid, it was pure magic. ✨ Seeing it there, amongst other classic toys, felt like a sudden, sweet hug from the past. I couldn't resist pulling out my phone to capture this little moment of nostalgia for my trending shorts. It reminded me of temple visits with my grandparents, asking for a 10-rupee note to buy something simple that would provide hours of joy back home.
