a lit lantern in the snow. Imbolc/Imbolg Imbolc is a Celtic fire festival celebration. It is the midway point between winter solstice and spring equinox. Usually celebrated on 1st/2nd February where candles are lit and fires are burning bright to represent the increasing light of the sun and the warmer months ahead. The Goddess, Brigid who is one of the most powerful of Pagan gods, is evoked in fertility blessings and rituals to welcome a purification & celebration of the return of light after winter's darkness.
Here’s to new beginnings this Imbolc and Brigid’s day.
