In Japanese, “halation,” “Halcion,” and “hallucination” all sound confusingly similar.
My brain even dragged in a wildflower called haru-shion, a little thing people in Japan nickname “poverty weed.”
Note to self: when AI makes stuff up, the word is hallucination.
