It's a portrait orientation view from a beach looking out to sea but with most of the view taken up by the damp sand and pebbles on it. About an eighth of the top of the view is sky which appears pale and hazy, covered with a thin veil of cloud lit by a weak sun. Next is the sea filling another eighth of the view. It's frothing with rolling waves where the receding water from a previous wave meets a new one coming in to crash, splash, and push its way through. The majority of the view is the dark sand of the beach that looks gritty and wet having just had water covering it. Foamy trails of bubbles form skins on the sand's surface between larger, rounded pebbles. It feels cool with the weak sun and the water looks like it would chill you to the bone.
Nearby Hayling Island from over a decade ago for #MeerMittwoch this week, when we'd likely have taken a drive over there for a walk along the shoreline to get some gentle exercise and bracing sea air.
