Smiling woman with construction cranes and building in background ADAMS a Vertex Company logo. Text: Valerie Wilkins, Vice President at ADAMS, a Vertex Company. What drew you to the construction industry? I began my career in the construction industry because of my dad. Within a few years, an opportunity opened up in healthcare construction. Healthcare has a different impact, and I can say now that I have had healthcare projects that have had a personal connection to my life, and I know the work I am a ; Bottom has Equinox HIT logo Text: Celebrating WIC Week 2026; and NAWIC.ORG-WICWEEK.ORG Silhouette of a city skyline with cranes, people, and text: Level Up Build Strong Communities | Careers | Futures in bold black and red.
