Wow--stunning filament eruption with associated long-duration C6.1 flare off the Sun's southeast quadrant around 2026-04-01 17 UT which produced a notable CME in coronagraph imagery.
Earth actually may get clipped by the eastern edge of the eruption early on April 4.

Wow this is pretty cool! Around 317 UT today there was quite a large substorm which originated somewhere over Quebec but had enough strength to propagate throughout the entire auroral oval all the way to Yellowknife where it had just gotten dark.

Here is the blast wave from the M2.7 CME which occured a couple hours ago. The source region is AR 4392 which is growing and within the Earth-strike zone. The blast wave spreads out in all directions and indicates an Earth-directed CME is on the way.
