You get to be choosy when you pick your own. The crowd is small and the Blueberry rows are quiet. Birds sing, Goats bleat. Families begin to arrive and young kids and extroverts start to talk loudly. We know that soon the temperature will increase to 90F / 32C, with a "feels like" of much more. And this will be the coolest day for the next week, so we have to hustle. Luckily, the bushes are full of berries. In the first hour we work three bushes and fill up two buckets more than halfway. Our goal is 2 and 1/2 buckets. 🧵 #Blueberries
