Book cover Title: Six Feet Deep Dish Author: Mindy Quigley *****Book review***** >Delilah & Son< Delilah OβLeary finds herself in quite a pickle when a death occurs at the soft opening of her new restaurant. She's lacks self-awareness in a few instances, putting herself in danger. Calvin Capone, the detective on the case, comes with a colorful family history and tries unsuccessfully to rein Delilah in. While romance may be on the horizon for these two, I like seeing their friendship and trust build. I enjoyed this cozy mystery. The characters were varied and realistic, even if Delilah's sleuthing was a bit clumsy. Of course, she probably watched cooking shows instead of police procedurals. π Part of the fun, I think. I like that she never doubted who Sam was, even when her feelings were in question. I do love the loyalty and that it wasn't blindly given. I borrowed the audio book. The narrator, Holly Adams, provides all the appropriate attitude, sass, and general personality into these characters. Story: 4 stars Narration: 4 stars Listening Speed: 2.5x H = 42; h = 35
