My yard can accommodate 5, maybe 6 pepper plants at most, but I grow hundreds. By early summer I'll be offloading them on every friend, neighbour, and co-worker who'll take one (or more). Growing them calms my nerves and as a bonus, I'm helping keep my neighbourhood spicy. 🔥🌶️

Everything is sprouting like mad. I have fans on (although I have to rotate one of them between shelves) and the stems are stiffening. Still trying to figure out what to sell and what to put in the ground...a pleasant problem to have #hotpeppers 🌶

After 4 days of above 40C, the chilli plants have sprung back to life with cooler temperatures
This chocolate bih Jolokia was totally wilted in hot winds yesterday, fortunately leaf drop was the only issue, some other plants have sunburned pods and wind burnt foliage

I ordered hot pepper seeds today. I stopped growing them during the pandemic, but a neighbour who makes his own hot sauce inspired me to get back to it. Also gives me something to set up indoors with all the ice and wind outside.
