EXTREME (QUARTERLY)
Despite the ad suggesting this is a quarterly book, only one issue ever came out--#0 in August of 1993. This should not be confused with the Extreme Tour Book. The Extreme Universe included such books as Youngblood and Brigade.

DEATHMATE
Deathmate was the first major universe crossover since 1982. Months of delays on Image's issues, the $4.95 price tag, and retailer over-ordering resulted in so much tied-up money that it is blamed for putting many shops out of business.

When you want to take advantage of a successful new series but you don’t have a tie-in comic.
This is a pretty good collection.

The recent Brainiac story was the continuation of the Superman/Lobo feud & as great as that story has been it would have been so much better if one of the books came in a bag and let you design a cover with vinyl clings.
Best. Special. Cover. Ever.

Back in 1988 DC Comics changed Action Comics from a monthly Superman team up book to a weekly anthology title. It was a noble failure. Some stories were great. The Blackhawk strip was excellent & I liked the Deadman feature. Other strips…weren’t as good.

DEATHBLOW #1
Let's just admit that character names really got silly in the 90s. The Deathblow story takes place following Darker Image 1, which featured the character's first appearance. The Cybernary backup featured Cybernary's first appearance.
