There is no difference from having to show #ID to #vote, than showing #IDCard to get a job, open a bank account, etc, etc. You can't be pro showing #ID to #Vote and then immediately be anti #ID for other things - that mindset is totally illogical, not to mention very hypocritical.

Honestly surprised that so many support an #IDcard, especially one that can 'report back'.

ID cards were scrapped after WW2 after criticism that they were becoming tools of state surveillance, clashing with British values of privacy & freedom. Also because of privacy concerns & costs.
